Data we collect
- Registration data: name, email, password (encrypted)
- Workshop data: trade name, tax ID, registered address
- Usage data: work orders, customers, vehicles, invoices entered by the user
- Technical data: IP address, browser, device (access logs)

- Provision of the MecánicOS service (contract performance)
- Communications about the service, updates and support (legitimate interest)
- Compliance with legal obligations
Storage
The database is stored on Google Cloud (Firebase/Firestore), with the region configured within the European Union (europe-west1). Images are stored on Cloudinary. Some data processors may host or process data outside the EEA, in which case appropriate safeguards apply (see the international transfers section).
Retention
Data is kept while the account is active. After cancellation, it is kept for 30 days and then permanently deleted, unless required by law.
Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, port and object to the processing of your data. To exercise them write to soporte@mecanicos.app.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
International transfers
Where a data processor processes data outside the EEA, the transfer relies on appropriate safeguards under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.

Data retention and deletion
- Active data: kept while the subscription is active
- After cancellation: accessible for 30 days, then permanently deleted
- Backups: infrastructure backups managed by our providers in accordance with their retention policies
- Export: available from Settings → Export data before deletion
